The Engineering division of the Community Development Department provides technical and professional support consistent with good engineering principles and the requirements of the Port Orange Land Development Code.
Engineering is tasked with ensuring that all development within the City, both public and private, meets a high standard of excellence to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the public.
Responsibilities
- Engineering and environmental review and inspection of development projects,
- Management of many of the City Capital Improvement Projects,
- Floodplain management,
- Stormwater management.
